Certificate IV in Community Services Work

Who is This Course for?

This course is designed for those seeking a fulfilling career in community services, providing a range of services and interventions to clients in residential and community settings.

You gain specialist communication, client support and interventions skills needed to work as a case worker, community support worker, drug and alcohol counsellor, outreach officer, mental health worker and more.

Course Requirements

A Prohibited Employment Declaration must be signed by students in courses where contact will be made with children. SEEK Learning will provide you with this form when you enrol.

As part of the course assessment, you'll need to undertake supervised work placement for a minimum of 160 hours in the community services industry. Your work placement will need to be pre-approved by OTEN.

Course Structure

There are 14 units to be completed in this TAFE community services course: 10 core modules and 4 electives.
